Gdy zobaczyłam okładkę „Eryka Scotta” Matta Burczyka, wiedziałam, że muszę przeczytać tę książkę. I cieszę się, że to zrobiłam, bowiem podczas czytania, przypomniałam sobie, jak jako dziecko biegałam do biblioteki, by znaleźć właśnie takie historie. Wtedy nie miałam internetu, nikt nie był w stanie polecić mi dobrej fantastyki dla dzieci, więc wędrowałam między regałami w poszukiwaniu wciągających historii. Kochałam te momenty oraz to jak obładowana wracałam do domu, by zaszyć się ze swoimi zdobyczami w pokoju. „Eryk Scott” byłby dla mnie właśnie taką zdobyczą, bo ma w sobie to, za co od samego początku kocham fantastykę.
Po pierwsze główny bohater to zwyczajny chłopak i to jeszcze z Gdańska, który dowiaduje się o istnieniu magii. Dzięki temu Eryk trafia do szkoły, w której będzie się uczył jak korzystać z magii żywiołów, jak walczyć z potworami, czy warzyć eliksiry. Kto z nas nie chciał chodzić do takiej szkoły?
Po drugie Eryk nie będzie zwykłym czarodziejem, dzięki swoim zdolnością jest kimś wyjątkowym. Chłopak będzie miał misję, ważną dla wszystkich czarodziejów i wiedźm. Od tego, czy znajdzie Kodeks Alchemików zależy los świata magii, dlatego Eryk się nie zawaha i wyruszy na poszukiwania tajemniczej księgi.
Po trzecie młody Scott to dobry jedenastolatek, którego lubi się już od pierwszej strony. Jest grzeczny, pomocny, pracowity i przyjazny. Dzięki temu w szkole poznaje dzieciaki, z którymi się zaprzyjaźnia. Mia, Wiktoria i Jay D to osoby, z którymi Eryk świetnie się bawi i na które może liczyć.
Po czwarte świat czarodziejów jest fantastyczny. Kto chciałby mieć plecaka, który nie ma końca pakowności, budki telefonicznej do teleportacji i oczywiście samej umiejętności czarowania? Chyba wszyscy!
Po piąte mamy tajemnice. W świecie czarodziejów nie jest za dobrze, ponieważ panuje dziwna epidemia, Wyklęci coś knują, a potwory zaczynają atakować uczniów. Ponadto sam fakt czarodziejskich umiejętności Eryka jest zagadkowy. Kto w jego rodzinie był magiczny? Mama, tata czy babcia, która wychowywała chłopaka, gdy ten został sierotą?
Jak widzicie, plusów jest sporo. Muszę oczywiście jeszcze dodać, że samo czytanie książki było bardzo przyjemne. Sprzyjają temu krótkie rozdziały oraz prosty styl autora. I dobrze, bo to w końcu książka dla dzieci i młodzieży, więc musi być lekka i chwytliwa.
Mimo że mam już trzydziestkę, to z zainteresowaniem przeczytałam przygody Eryka. Wydaje mi się, że książka spodoba się współczesnym dzieciakom. Jako rodzic nie mam też do niej zastrzeżeń. Nie ma tu niestosownych treści, a główny bohater to dobry, ułożony nastolatek, który może stać się przyjacielem mojego dziecka. Dlatego, gdy moje chłopaki Igor i Eryk podrosną, z pewnością poznają przygody „Eryka Scotta”. Polecam i czekam na drugą część.
Moja ocena: 10/10.
